Newton Smash Year 7 squad score 15 goals in total

SMASH Year 7’s 4-3 Muraikh Year 7’s Game 1

SMASH Year 7’s 3-4 Muraikh Year 7’s Game 2

Samsh Year 7’s 8-0 Muraikh Year 7’s Game 3

Sunday the 10th September saw SMASH year 7’s play against three teams from Muraikh.

Game 1:

The first game ended in a 4-3 victory with an end to end first half, filled with many shots on goal. Both goalkeepers were kept busy from the first whistle with Amer making some quality diving saves. Smash battled strong when Lewis and Ibrahim put in crunching tackles. Abdulatif and Lewis showed silky skills upfront when they constantly turned the Muraikh defender and took shots on goal only for the keeper to make great saves. Abdulatif showed his natural striker’s instinct by scoring 2 goals in the first half. It was an amazing end to end game which ended with Lewis scoring the winner in injury time to give Smash the victory in game 1.

Game 2:

Smash started off brilliantly showing their impressive skills passing the ball from left to right. Abdulaziz was a rock at the back carrying the ball out and confidently passing the ball. Zain showed his quality by constantly running up and down the pitch winning the ball back for Smash. Adam made his debut for Smash and was constantly turning the defenders inside out with his dribbling. Basil made an impressive debut in goal for Smash, making plenty of saves. Smash were unlucky to not go into half time with a goal up. It was another end-to-end game with goal after goal from both teams. Abdulaziz and Zain scored amazing goals to keep it level at 3-3. Unfortunately, at the last second of the game Muraikh fired in an unlikely winner as Smash looked the closer team to winning the game. Overall Smash played a brilliant, entertaining second match. Well done boys.

Game 3:

Smash showed their stamina and desire to be ready to play a 3rd game with the intention of winning only. The strength in the squad showed as Smash were able to rotate the players round for every player to get game time. Abdulrahman, who was a late replacement, jumped into the squad with ease scoring a brace. Abdulatif got back on the score sheet scoring from a corner and close range. Abdulatif ended his day with 6 goals over two matches. Lewis got another one from close range along with Zain and Abdulaziz. It was turning into a Cricket score rather than a football score. Smash should be proud of how they represented themselves playing their first away fixture. Well done boys keep the goals coming.
