It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself to you as the newly appointed Principal of Newton International School, West Bay. I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead the school with such a rich history. From my interactions with parents, staff and teachers, it is clear that there is a collegial partnership between all stakeholders to provide the best possible academic and cultural experience for our students. I look forward to foster these relationships and to work with parents, staff, teachers and the wider community to provide the best educational experience for each child. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 25 years. My educational experiences has included being a teacher, team leader and manager in several schools, including internationally. I have been teaching in Qatar for 9 years and my experience included a teacher, Mathematics Coordinator, Deputy Principal and Principal. During my leadership career, I have had the opportunity to foster a positive school culture and to implement programs to meet the needs of our students. I am delighted to bring my skills as and educational instructor to NIS West Bay to work with you as a partner to ensure your child receives the best education we can offer.
Along with teachers and staff, I will continue to work hard to strive for excellence at NIS West Bay by building strong relationships with parents, students and the community. We will continue to focus on providing a safe learning environment for our students, positive behaviour support, British teaching and curriculum standards, data driven instruction and challenging and exciting experiences for all our students. Our educational programme provides differentiated instructions to suit the needs of all our students. It will be engaging and rigorous to ensure our students become lifelong learners in an international setting. Parents, teachers, staff and administration all have an important role to play to encourage our students to become active learners. A team approach is imperative to maintain a desired learning environment.
As your principal, it is important to me for anyone who enters our gates, to be excited and happy to be here. The positive attitude will help us to meet the challenges of reaching academic excellence in a safe and supportive environment. I look forward to working together to continue providing an excellent learning experience for every child in NIS West Bay.
