NBA Barwa City Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)

At NBA, the students' days are filled with fantastic events, community building activities and, most importantly, supporting the children to develop a love for learning. The Parent Teacher Association is an active and integral part of this at Newton British Academy. This is a volunteer body of school staff and parents who help organise school events. The main aims of the PTA are:

● To encourage cooperation between parents and the school for the well-being of the children
● To encourage an interest in the educational processes of the school from the outside community
● To engage in a range of activities and events of all kinds, both social and educational – to further enhance the life of the school.

The day-to-day running of the PTA is in the hands of a small committee of elected members that are agreed at the PTA inaugural meeting at the start of the academic year. The PTA helps to organise a events, aimed at fostering good relationships among pupils, staff, parents and the local community. Partnerships between parents, educators and children enhance children’s success. We know that children learn more and have better lives when everyone in the school community works together to share thoughts and information and work on projects to benefit children.  The PTA has the opportunity to collaborate on programmes and events that benefit the children at our school. By joining and volunteering in the PTA there is no better way to get connected. Know what’s happening at NBA, meet other parents and teachers, and build a rapport with the school community, plus have the opportunity to share ideas, concerns and experiences. Are you interested in enhancing your child’s experience at school? – do you have fresh ideas? – if you do, we encourage you to get involved.  By volunteering you put your skills, hobbies, and interest to work. You won’t be expected to attend every meeting or take on anything that doesn’t suit your other commitments. If you want to find out more, please contact the School’s reception and ask to make an appointment to speak with any member of the SMT.. Please join with us to make a difference in the education, health, and welfare of our children.
