Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAS)
Developing the whole child is fundamental to the Newton International Academy, Smash education. Pupils benefit from a rich curriculum within school hours, but we are committed to extending education beyond the classroom. We provide opportunities for pupils to discover new passions, explore interests, develop language learning and make friends outside of their year groups through our extensive Extra Curricular Activities. Through teacher led activities, external providers and targeted academic support sessions, we offer every child the opportunity to expand their talents and fulfil their potential.
In Term 1 and 2, we offered a range of educational and fun extracurricular activities on a weekly basis to promote better social, mental, and physical health. In addition, students were able to explore interests, make new friends, and build social skills that will last a lifetime.
The activities on offer were: Fine Motor/Handwriting, Mathematics, Science, Phonics, Story, Arts and Crafts, Reading, Lego and Playdough.
