Newton International Academy students have organized a fundraiser for charity to help support people experiencing mental distress.
Lately, children living in Gaza Strip have experienced unusually high rates of psychological distress and need urgent support. A study published in the journal “Frontiers of Psychiatry” found that among Palestinian children and adolescents in the Gaza Strip, nearly 90% had experienced personal trauma, and more than 80% had witnessed trauma to others. Therefore, NIA secondary students’ generous donations are now on their way to help support children in Gaza.
