I trust that you all had a rejuvenating and enjoyable winter break. Serving as the Principal of this exceptional learning community for the second year fills me with immense pride, and I am excited to continue supporting the students of Newton International School West Bay! This academic year, our focus aligns with the 2030 Qatar Vision. Throughout the year, we will weave these principles into the fabric of all our endeavors. As we commence on another term at NIS West Bay, our mission remains steadfast – striving for academic excellence, celebrating success and nurturing the social and emotional well-being of our students. Guided by the principles of equity and inclusion, we are committed to creating an environment where each student thrives. Our educators, support staff, families, and educational partners stand ready to embrace you into the NIS West Bay community. Our teachers and staff are enthusiastic about meeting their students and embarking on this year's educational journey with them. The dedicated team at NIS West Bay has invested considerable effort in finalizing the curriculum, participating in professional learning opportunities, and refining instructional planning, class routines, and expectations. Our overarching goal is to foster academic success and a genuine sense of connectedness and belonging for our students.
Together, we aim to lay a robust foundation for our students, nurturing their development as self-directed learners, collaborative teammates, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens. I've always maintained that NIS West Bays’ exceptional educators lay the foundation for your child's academic success. Equally crucial to our success is the active involvement of parents in the Parents as Partners Committee, school and community activities and surveys as well as our Parents Voice on our VLE platform.
