We set high expectations for every student and we will be building on the excellent work of my predecessor, Mr Michael Wilson. We believe that with the right support, challenge, and care, all children can achieve excellence, not only in their academic studies but also in their conduct, attitude, and aspirations. These high standards are grounded in respect, responsibility, and a strong work ethic, values that reflect both the best of British education and the principles at the heart of Qatari society.

Our curriculum is rooted in the British educational tradition but enriched by the culture, faith, and values of our host nation. We take great pride in promoting Arabic language, Islamic faith, and Qatari National Identity. Through our excellent Arabic and Islamic Studies departments, students grow in spiritual understanding, cultural appreciation, and moral responsibility. Character education is a cornerstone of our approach. In my previous role, I had the honour of developing one of the UK’s first national character education programmes under the patronage of HRH Prince William. I believe that character – integrity, perseverance, compassion, humility, and service – is as important as academic learning. These qualities enable our students to flourish not only in school, but also at university, in their careers, and throughout life.

We are equally committed to the wellbeing of every child. A Newton education is about developing the whole child-encouraging curiosity, nurturing creativity, and building confidence.
