I have to recommend this book because it starts with the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read: a squirrel gets sucked up by a vacuum cleaner and comes out with superpowers. He can suddenly fly, he can understand humans, and—this is the best part—he writes poetry!

I like this book because it’s a mix of a comic book and a regular novel. It’s about a girl named Flora who calls herself a ‘natural-born cynic’ (which means she doesn’t believe in much), but this little squirrel, Ulysses, changes everything for her. It’s wacky, it’s weird, and it’s wonderful.
