I want to share a book that I believe every student should read at least once. It’s called ‘Private Peaceful.’ I like this book because it is a giant mystery. The main character, Tommo, is staying awake all night long, and he is counting down the minutes until morning. As he waits, he looks back on his whole life—his family and the adventures he had with his brother, Charlie. You spend the whole book wondering: ‘What is going to happen when the clock hits morning? Why is he so afraid of the sunrise?’ It is one of the most powerful stories I have ever read.
