Newton British School, Al Waab, first opened on the 14th of September 2008 with 135 children, 20 staff, and 10 classes. We have grown to around 700 children, over 30 classes, and more than 80 staff members. Through our clear vision and strong values, we have established an excellent reputation here in Doha and are now the school of choice for hundreds of families. Working in unison, our team of staff values the importance of building solid relationships with our children and creating a warm, secure learning environment in which they can take risks and flourish. We recruit teachers who are in love with teaching and who make learning fun. Their genuine interest in our children, combined with their high expectations, ensures that our standards are consistently high.
We offer an enhanced British curriculum that is broad and balanced, providing our children with a diverse range of opportunities where they can deepen their knowledge, skills, and understanding. We also have a strong Arabic department that significantly promotes the Arabic culture through teaching the Arabic language, Qatar History, and Islamic studies. At Newton British School, we aim to equip our children not only with academic skills, but also to make them good citizens, to have respect for the environment, so that they can make responsible choices which have a positive impact upon the world.
