The Author : Ms. Ghenwa Yehia ( NBS-AlWaab)

We thank the author, Ghenwa Yehia, for her visit to Al-Waab branch for reading her delightful story during Book Week. The wonderful storytelling time she offered to our students was greatly appreciated. The students’ interaction with the story was filled with excitement and anticipation.

Ms. Ghenwa Yehia is a Lebanese-Canadian author and passionate storyteller who lives by the principle, “How you do anything is how you do everything.” She drew inspiration for her debut book, Recipe for Home, from her family, especially her children. This heartfelt work was published by Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press in 2017 and went on to win multiple categories in the 2018 Purple Dragonfly Book Awards.

Currently, she serves as a Senior Newsroom Specialist at Qatar Foundation, where she continues to inspire young readers and writers through her creativity and dedication to storytelling.
