Empowering Future Pathways: Al Murshidi Academic & Career Mentoring Program at Newton Group Libraries

AlMurshidi Schools, offered by Qatar National Library, connects students in Grades 10–12 with mentors from a wide variety of professional fields across Qatar. The program provides students with the unique opportunity to explore different career paths, engage in meaningful conversations with experienced professionals, and gain practical, real-world insights into their areas of interest. Through these sessions, students are empowered to make informed academic and career decisions, discover new possibilities, and build confidence as they plan their future. AlMurshidi Schools aims to inspire the next generation by bridging the gap between education and the professional world, helping students take their first steps toward achieving their aspirations.

The recent Murshidi Schools sessions at Newton British Academy – Barwa on 9th February and Newton International Academy – Barwa on 11th February were a great success! Students were highly engaged throughout the sessions, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine curiosity about the wide range of career paths presented. The mentors shared practical insights and real-world experiences, which provided students with valuable guidance and inspiration. These sessions not only sparked interest in different professions but also helped students feel more confident and informed about their academic and career choices, supporting them in making thoughtful decisions for their future.
