Dr. Mark van de Logt has been a member of the Liberal Arts faculty at Texas A&M University at Qatar since August 2012. His academic expertise includes Native American history, U.S. military history, the Gilded Age, the American West, and Mexican history.
He is the author of War Party in Blue: Pawnee Scouts in the United States Army (2010) and Monsters of Contact: Historical Trauma in Caddoan Oral Traditions (2018). His forthcoming publication, Between the Floods: A New History of the Sahnish (Arikara) Indians, further reflects his continued contributions to the field.
Dr. van de Logt has also published scholarly articles in leading journals such as the Journal of Military History, American Indian Quarterly, American Indian Culture and Research Journal, and Wicazo Sa Review. At TAMUQ, he teaches U.S. History survey courses as well as specialized courses on Native American and U.S. military history.
