Our Year 7 students enjoyed an exciting educational trip to the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum in Al Shahaniya. The visit gave students a fascinating insight into Qatar’s rich heritage, culture, and traditions through one of the largest private collections in the world.
Students explored a wide range of exhibits, from ancient Islamic art and traditional Qatari artefacts to vintage cars, coins, and textiles. The tour helped them make real-life connections.
Throughout the visit, students were encouraged to ask questions, make observations, and reflect on how Qatar has evolved from its early Bedouin roots to the modern nation it is today. Many were amazed by how Sheikh Faisal personally collected items from over 50 countries, highlighting the global connections between cultures and time periods.
The day ended with a group reflection, where students shared their favourite exhibits from the vintage car gallery to the traditional majlis and pearl diving displays. The museum staff praised our Year 7 students for their curiosity, respectful behaviour, and enthusiasm throughout the visit.
