Through the Newton Mission, ‘we aim to provide the highest quality of education possible for students of all abilities. Dear Students, Parents, and Staff of Newton British School, Al Waab,
It is with great excitement and honor that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Newton British School, Al Waab. I join this family-oriented school community after serving in the UK as a teacher and then leader for 30 years. These experiences have deeply enriched my understanding of education and strengthened my commitment to nurturing children’s growth and success.
I am truly looking forward to bringing my passion, experience, and dedication to NBS Al Waab. This school is renowned for its supportive environment and commitment to excellence, and I am eager to build upon its strong foundations. Together, we will continue to create a culture where every student feels inspired to achieve their very best and where values such as respect, responsibility and support are at the heart of all we do.
Dedicated to the vision of the school’s founders, Dr Jabr and Mrs Afaf, we provide high- quality teaching and a warm, caring approach that enables every child to achieve. In the spirit of collaboration and growth, I encourage everyone to embrace new opportunities and challenges with enthusiasm, knowing that together we can achieve remarkable things.
As we embark on this exciting journey together, I am inspired by the rich traditions and aspirations of our community. We offer an enhanced British curriculum alongside a strong Arabic department, that significantly promotes the Arabic culture through teaching the Arabic language, Qatar History and Islamic Studies. We aim to equip our children not only with academic skills but also with the characteristics that make them good citizens, encouraging them to be respectful of others and their environment, be reflective and to make responsible choices which will enable them to flourish and succeed.
Looking ahead, I am enthusiastic about fostering strong relationships within our vibrant school community and encouraging a spirit of curiosity and innovation among our students. I believe that by embracing diversity, celebrating our achievements, and learning from our experiences, we will continue to build a school culture that inspires excellence, aspiration and resilience in every individual.
