As a teacher, I found The Folk of the Faraway Tree to be an engaging story that captures the imagination of KS2 children. The adventures of Jo, Bessie, Fanny, and their friends in the ever-changing lands at the top of the tree offer a perfect blend of wonder, humour, and excitement. The book encourages creativity, curiosity, and a love for storytelling, while also highlighting themes of friendship, kindness, and teamwork. I would highly recommend this book to KS2 pupils, as it transports readers into a world of fantasy that inspires them to read for pleasure and explore their own imaginative ideas.
