Mr. Diarmuid Cregan
School Coordinator
As a boy, my mother would take my four sisters and I to the Creggan Library every Saturday morning to spend a few hours. At this age, around 7, I began to read Roald Dahl from cover to cover. James and the Giant Peach and George’s Marvellous Medicine were two of my favourites but I loved Charlie and The Chocolate Factory most of all. I couldn’t wait to find an everlasting gobstopper or the other crazy inventions in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory! It really set my imagination on fire and I have had a joy for reading ever since.
