A Bear Called Paddington is a timeless story that many of our students at NIA Smash will enjoy. Paddington arrives in London with his politeness, curiosity, and unforgettable love for marmalade, and quickly finds himself in a series of gentle, humorous adventures. These moments offer wonderful lessons about kindness, friendship, and how small acts of care can make a big difference.
The language is accessible for Year 3–5 students, making it a great choice for both independent reading and classroom activities. Teachers can use it for read-aloud sessions, writing tasks, and discussions around problem-solving and good manners. The story is culturally neutral and entirely appropriate for our school environment, offering students a safe and engaging introduction to character-driven adventures.
A Bear Called Paddington continues to be a warm and uplifting book that encourages empathy and imagination—perfect for young readers in our community.
