Book Title –The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson

As a Year 1 teacher, I have found that The Gruffalo, along with many of Julia Donaldson’s books, is an excellent choice for young children. It is a fun and imaginative story that children in Year 1 absolutely love. The rhyming words and repeating phrases make it easy for young children to join in and build their reading confidence. The characters are memorable, the illustrations are bright and engaging, and the story teaches children about clever thinking and using your brain to solve problems. It’s a brilliant book for developing language skills while keeping children excited and entertained, which is why I highly recommend it
