At Newton International School – Lagoon Campus (NISL), we fully recognise the responsibilities and duties placed on us to have arrangements to safeguard and to promote a culture of safeguarding and vigilance for the welfare of all students. We recognise that all staff employed directly by the school (e.g. teachers and support staff), indirectly by the school (e.g. security guards, canteen staff) and volunteers, have a full and active part to play in protecting students from harm.

We believe that our school should provide a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment in which students can learn and which promotes the social, physical and emotional wellbeing of each individual student. The school policy has been developed in line with the guidance set out in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024. Additionally, this policy is aligned with the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1990) and the CIS Code of Ethics, ensuring children’s rights to safety, participation, and dignity are central to all safeguarding practices at NISL.

تم تطوير هذه السياسة بما يتماشى مع التوجيهات الواردة في “العمل معاً لحماية الأطفال” لعام 2023 و “الحفاظ على سلامة الأطفال في التعليم لعام 2024”.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تتماشى هذه السياسة مع مبادئ اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الطفل (1990) و مدونة الأخلاقيات الخاصة بمجلس المدارس الدولية (CIS)، لضمان أن حقوق الأطفال في السلامة، المشاركة والكرامة هي محور جميع ممارسات الحماية في مدرسة NISL.
