Hello everyone,

My name is Divan Oberholzer, and I’m proud to have been selected as the new Head Boy of Newton International Academy for this academic year. I’ve been part of NIA for more than a decade, and it feels unreal to me that I am now in a role I once only dreamt of achieving.

I’m very excited about this opportunity. Being Head Boy means a lot to me, and while I know it comes with responsibility, I am prepared to do everything in my power to embrace it and mak NIA a place where everyone feels welcome, supported, and encouraged to do their best.

This year, I plan to work with the Student Council, Prefects, and my fellow deputies to bring student ideas forward, organise activities that bring people together, and promote kindness and respect across the school. I’d also like to make sure every student feels their voice matters and that we can all play a part in making our school even better.

I am honoured to be trusted with this position and plan to give it my absolute best for the year ahead.
