DESCRIPTION:We were delighted to appoint our Student Council\, along with our Head Boy\, Head Girl\, and their Deputies. The children proudly received their badges and had the opportunity to meet with the Principal and Head of Primary to discuss their new roles. They also helped to distribute badges to other student leaders across the school\, including our House Captains\, Prefects\, and Prayer Committee\, marking the start of an exciting year of leadership and responsibility at NBS Al Waab.

SUMMARY:Maths Competition
DESCRIPTION:Thank you to our colleagues at NIS D-Ring who kindly hosted a group of our Year 5 and 6 students last week for the Maths Competition. Although we did not bring home any prizes this time\, we were delighted to be invited and the children had a fantastic experience taking part. They thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and the opportunity to represent NBS Al Waab. Looking ahead\, the children are already excited about attending the upcoming Spelling Bee at NIA Barwa and the P4C Enquiry at West Bay\, where they will once again have the chance to showcase their skills and enthusiasm for learning.

SUMMARY:Read and Relax Mornings
DESCRIPTION:We enjoyed our Read and Relax Mornings at NBS Al Waab. Parents were warmly welcomed into classrooms to join their children for a calm and engaging start to the day\, sharing stories and spending quality time reading together. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as children proudly showed their books and reading spaces to their families. It was a wonderful way to strengthen the home–school partnership while encouraging a lifelong love of reading across the school.

DESCRIPTION:We celebrated World Teachers’ Day\, taking the opportunity to show our appreciation for the incredible dedication and passion our staff bring to NBS Al Waab every day. Each teacher received a rose and a beautiful box of goodies from Pedro Bakes as a small token of our gratitude. The celebration was made even more special by the thoughtful messages\, gifts\, and sweet gestures shared by our students and their families.

SUMMARY:Spelling Bee Competition
DESCRIPTION:Some of our KS2 students attended the Spelling Bee at NIA Barwa\, where they took part in exciting activities and some fantastic competition. Although they didn’t secure a win this time\, they had a wonderful experience and represented our school with confidence\, enthusiasm\, and great team spirit. It is always a pleasure to take part in such events that celebrate learning and bring students from across the Newton Group together.
